Migration planning

A considered move to a new discovery experience.

Start with the configuration you have, then preview what comes next. Compatibility and timing depend on your catalogue, theme and existing search app.

Your transition plan

Make the preview the decision point.

Confirm access and preserve the current configuration before making changes. Keep a rollback plan, and switch only after your storefront checks pass.

Migration questions

Plan a controlled migration: preview FilterIQ, validate it on your theme, document rollback, and switch only after acceptance checks. Compatibility and timing vary by existing app and theme.

Product data is synced from Shopify. Export or document settings, synonym lists and analytics from your current app if you need to preserve them; these are not automatically imported.

Document and test your rollback steps on a preview theme before activation. Retain the previous configuration and confirm how to restore it for your theme and existing app.

Timing depends on catalogue size, sync state, theme customisation and existing rules. Allow time for configuration review, desktop and mobile checks, and rollback validation.

Built as a Shopify Theme App Extension for Online Store 2.0 themes. Validate placement, styling and interactions on your theme before publishing.

Include existing search URLs, collection URLs and shared filter links in your acceptance checks. Custom routes and app-specific parameters may need attention.

FilterIQ reads your product data directly from Shopify — we never copy or cache your customer data, payment information, or order details. Product search indexes are stored in isolated, single-tenant environments. If you uninstall, your product data is typically deleted within 48 hours of Shopify delivering the shop/redact privacy webhook (see Privacy Policy for the canonical timeline and worst-case qualifier). Your data never leaves encrypted infrastructure.

FilterIQ is in private preview. Request access to confirm plan availability, trial eligibility and billing terms.
